An Arita Blue and White Dish

The shallow dish with a narrow flat rim

Decorated in underglaze blue with a spray of  Chrysanthemum against solid screens

With remnants of silvery-red outlines

The underside with a single spray of Convolvulus

The base with a seal mark

Diameter; 8 3/4″ (22.2 cm)

Condition; perfect, some craze lines yo the glaze

Shibata Collection Vol III no 204 for a dish of the same shape and with the same seal mark and decoration to the underside.

Also with enamel outlining. Dated to 1658-60
