A Rare Large Solid Agateware Teapot

Of pectin shell moulded form and on a raised foot

The handle and spout in the form of a scaly dragon type creature

Which appears in low relief on either side of the upper pectin shell

The spout unusually moulded with a cherub astride the open mouthed creature

Staffordshire C1755

Length; 7 1/4″ (18.4 cm)

Height without cover; 5″

Condition; cover is an overpainted porcelain replacement

There is a fine hairline 4.0 cm from rim.

No other damage to the teapot
