A Rare Large Figure of Guanyin with a Child

Together with a European decorated example of the same figure

Both with separately manufactured  heads

The Guanyin standing and supporting a child in her right arm

Dehua, Kangxi 17/18thC

Height; 25 1/4″ (64.1 cm)

Condition; child’s right hand replaced and a break in his neck

Chip to front of Guanyin’s collar

Shallow glaze flaw to front of hair

European decorated figure is extensively damaged

I have not been able to determine where the enamelling was done
