
A Rare Gilt Ground Silver Decorated Teapot
The pale cafe au lait glazed teapot is decorated with silvered prunus and bamboo
Outlined in iron red and on a gilt ground
The base is entirely silvered

Condition; usual wear to gilding and silvering
Crack through top of handle
There is a long glaze crack to the interior which does not pass through the body
Silver as an enamel was not always that successful and was used for a comparatively short period
