Each decorated in the centre with a Rococo Cartouche
One containing a grisaille Ship
Above the motto ‘For Tunam Arte Regit”on a pink ribbon
The second dish with a cherub above the motto ‘Cum Patientia & Frequentia’
Within a carved slip border with cartouches of various fruit
The reverse with vine, gourd and gilt bamboo

Condition: gilding retouched on rim, very few flaked enamels retouched

By repute the provenance of pair of dishes is from the collection of
Major-General Sir George Burns of North Mymms Park, Hertfordshire
