Above various Latin mottos on a pink ribbon
Within a carved slip border with cartouches of various fruit
The reverse with vine, gourd and gilt bamboo

The pieces from this service are inspired by Meissen style designs.
With the grisaille designs and Latin mottos are derived from European books of allegorical emblems.
Popular in Europe during the 16th and 17thC.
The Latin mottos are often incorrectly copied.
